Rules of Love: BBC Movie featuring Dan Woodrow

Last week saw the first airing on national TV of the BBC musical movie, The Rules of Love, produced by Serena Cullens and directed by Ben Gosling Fuller. The movie features parkour action sequences which were choreographed by Parkour Generations, with Developing Athlete Dan Woodrow performing the stunt doubling for the lead role.

Finland ADAPTed!

Dan and Stephane have just returned from delivering the ADAPT instructor qualification course in Finland, which was hosted by the Finland Parkour Association. The course was a great success, booked solid with aspiring and existing coaches from around the country. The level of ability and competence in both parkour and coaching was very high and it looks like the discipline will be in safe hands in Finland going forward.

Resonance...

A little while ago we worked on the pilot episode of a revolutionary new multi-media drama series, called Resonance, providing the stunt doubling and choreography for the central parkour action sequences. The show, starring Aidan Turner and Charles Dance, is being developed in a quite unique fashion that allows the audience to shape the narrative and create scenes that will appear as the series unfolds. 1000 Muscle-Ups: Check!

This past Saturday 5 of the Parkour Generations Team - Stephane, Blane, Andy, Dan and Chris - plus Affiliate Coach Joe 'Bring it to the' Boyle, Bruno 'Rachacuca' Peixoto of Brasil and Jun Sato of Japan entered the ring to square up against 1000 muscle-ups in one day. The fairly monumental challenge was undertaken in an effort to raise money to go towards recovering traceur Naoki Ishiyama's medical bills accumulated last year.

Womens Jam on Sunday,

This sunday 12th December there will be a womens Jam held at Mile End and Victoria Park from 1.30pm. Please meet opposite the Mile end tube station, ready to run! For those unfamiliar with the jams, they are free and open training sessions, for all levels of experience and ability. 1000 Muscle Ups this Saturday.

This Saturday will play host to seven members of the Parkour Generations team attempting to do one thousand muscle ups each within a twenty four hour time limit all for a very worthy cause. The team have all been debating and discussing tactics, emotions, timings, food, music, rehab, massages and every other topic under the sun in order to be ready for the challenge, but with one looming thought that remains clear in our minds... It will be one extremely hard and unforgiving day.
