The twenty-first annual Hereford Photography Festival opens on Friday 28th October to Saturday 26th November 2011, and will feature the first ever solo exhibition by our very own and world-renowned parkour photographer, Andy 'Kiell' Day.

At the end of October we'll be running the annual Halloween Seminar out in the USA, hosted by affiliate group Parkour Horizons. You can now find all of the details for the seminar which will be run by Forrest and Yao at the link below. The seminar will be held in downtown Columbus, Ohio on October 29 and 30, and we'll be expecting people to turn up suitably attired for a Halloween session..

Starting on Thursday October the 6th we have our brand new outdoor discovery class which begins the journey at Pimlico tube station from 7.30pm until 9pm.

This weekend we wil be providing choreography and action for a new short film by director Melinda Liu called Play Rewind Forward. 

UK NGB, Parkour UK, has been working for some time now with the Matalan-sponsored UK-wide initiative, the Matalan Sporting Promise, a fantastic project which aims to get more young people back into sports by introducing them to non-traditional physical activities - with parkour being one of the nine activities chosen.

At the end of October we will be running two consecutive ADAPT Level 1 coaching qualification courses in the UK - the first will be in Grimsby running from the 22-25 October and the second in London from the 25-28 October. We are very happy to announce that our own renowned film-maker and parkour historian, Julie Angel, will be releasing her recently completed Ph.D - Cine Parkour; a cinematic and theoretical contribution to the understanding of the practice of parkour - very, very soon. 

Again this year, Dan has been invited to present on parkour and deliver a practical workshop for the students of renowned Winchester College as part of the annual Studium Day on October 12th.

Early next month we will be shooting a new promotional video for charity organisation Somewhereto_ at a high profile location in London. 

Somewhereto_ is a fantastic organisation that helps young people (16-25) find spaces in their area to do the things they love. We already partner with Somewhereto_ in finding and providing places for young people to practice parkour, with the new L.E.A.P park in London being one of the locations.

A video from French traceur Anthow whose own style of parkour is very controlled and fluid. The video is full of running precisions, spins and flexibility of movement. The building ascent at 2:17 is very swift and inventive and is probably my favourite part.

We've just finished producing and shooting the main sequences for a new viral video for Dragon Dictate, an innovative and sophisticated speech recognition software package for Apple Mac computers. The action-based video was shot by our own resident film-maker Julie Angel and features Performance Team Member Kristian McPhee navigating his way through London's city streets.

This month's open London gathering will kick off at 12:45pm on Sunday 25th September, and will be the Treasure Hunt Jam in Vauxhall. 

The official launch of L.E.A.P (London Experience of Art du deplacement & Parkour) - London's first & the world's largest purpose built Parkour Park - will happen at the end of 2011, very soon.. 

Tony Thich, one of our partners at Majestic Force and ADD Academy, has just starred in a new commercial for Samsonite Europe - Tony has been training with the Yamakasi founders for many years and is a fantastic practitioner as well as a great guy. The piece has a relaxed, playful vbe and is well worth a watch.

Our brand new outdoor training facility, L.E.A.P. (London Experience of Art du deplacement and Parkour) is now almost complete, with the ground surfacing having gone in over the last few days.

The latest ADAPT instructor qualification course held in the USA has just been completed, with 6 newly qualified Level 1 coaches passing the course with flying colours under the supervision of Dan and Blane. Congratulations to all of them, and we look forward to seeing them coaching and helping to spread the discipline safely, accurately and well in the near future. Today we added two new Affiliate Coaches to the ever-growing list of practitioners who we know well and regularly teach or train alongside our core team.

This past week saw another seven ADAPT level 1 coaching participants complete the four day course in the UK covering the essentials of assisting in a class within a parkour context.
