This week's video is a short documentary made by Wyatt Weymouth in the States. It features Julian Vazquez who, as well as being a talented Traceur, is a great source of inspiration as he explains why he loves the discipline.

Our lovely Annty Marais has been in Indonesia for the last few days having great fun! Along with a few coaches from Parkour Bandung, she lead the Girls Day Out event that saw 30 ladies and 70 guys from Bandung, Jakarta and Yogya show up and get stuck in.

A huge thanks to Willy Irawan for being an amazing host and to the rest of the Indonesian community for welcoming her so well.

We've found over the past few years that we keep getting busier and busier when it comes to the coaching side of things, and this year has started out true to form.

As of March 1st we will be running regular Academy Classes in Bangkok, Thailand, via our new Far Eastern branch - Parkour Generations Asia.

Coldplay's video for their new single 'Charlie Brown' features some freerunning as performed by Matthew Kaye, Cole Armitage and Scott Young. The video shows a Traceur stealing a car in order to go see the band with his girlfriend (Antonia Thomas - better known as Alisha from Channel 4's 'Misfits'). We don't condone stealing cars obviously, but check out the video (below) to see the guys in action.

The park is the worlds first outdoor managed training facility dedicated to Parkour and has been created in conjuction with Parkour Generations, ParkourUK and the City of Westminster. 

This week's video is from Smitmedia who have compiled a selection of clips from previous parkour vids. The end result is a gathering of some of the biggest movements captured on film so far. You may have seen some of these clips before, but they never disappoint.

We wanted to start the week off this morning by saying congratulations to performance team member Alex Pownall for competing in the English Weightlifting Championships at Lilleshall National Sports Centre, Shropshire on Saturday.

We have been granted special access to the LEAP park for this month's Off The Wall, so take advantage of this and meet at Westminster Academy (255 Harrow Road, W2 5EZ) at 12 midday on Sunday 26th February. This will be one of the only times free access will be granted and no induction is needed for this one off, so make sure you are there!

This weeks video of the week is from team Farang based in Thailand. Released just before they helped launch our Asian branch, it shows what you can do with an old temple should you have one lying around.

Parkour photographer Andy Day (aka Kiell) will be teaching a course at Central St Martin's during Easter. Over the five days of 'Movement and Dance Photography', Andy will be teaching students the knowledge and skills to plan and execute their own shoot featuring artistic, physical movement.

On Friday night last week our new Asian branch, Parkour Generations Asia, got off to an officialy flying start by holding its inaugural public performance at Bangkok's Imperial Queen's Park Hotel prestigious rooftop party, Altitude. 

One of our latest little projects that has been under development for a while now is the Parkour Generations training locations hotspot map. We've added many of the popular locations within London but have also included images to all of the spots too. We feel that the photos really help show what training you can do at the spots and what to actually look for.

For the last few weeks the Parkour Generations team have been replenishing the photo archive with up-to-date action and profile pictures. We were seriously lacking in photos to use from many of the new members of the team so therefore invited some very talented photographers to have six full days of shoots. 

We would like to say a big thank you to Ben Curwen, Ramesh Sur, Brian Appiah Obeng, Millie Robson and Andy Pearson for the awesome photos they took and the time, effort and organisation that went into each of the days.

Starting tomorrow (Monday 13th February) the regular half-term Parkour Camp for kids is back on at Westminster Academy in Royal Oak. For 8 to 18 year olds, the camp is a week long drop-in course from 10am until 1pm and is a training-packed afternoon of a little bit of hard-work, a portion of playing games and a large slice of movement fun.

This Friday our Asian branch, Parkour Generations Asia, will be putting on an evening of live shows at the immense Rooftop Party at Bangkok's Imperial Queens Park Hotel - a 50 storey giant hotel now made even taller by the 20 metre structure we've built atop the roof for the performances.

One of our Developing Athletes has just released a new video summing up his time training in his home town of Sheffield. Alex Winslow is now part-way through his travels leading up to a residency in Sydney where he will become a coach at a new Parkour facility. We wish him luck with his ventures and look forward to visiting sometime!
