Awsa's picture
Awsa

Awsa is a singer, songwriter, backing vocalist, and Pilates instructor who fell in love with Parkour in April 2010. A trained dancer, kickboxing-dabbler and ball sports enthusiast, she describes Parkour as the ultimate movement vocabulary in which her body and mind can free, and express, itself. Amongst other things. Having taught Pilates and physical rehabilitation for 10 years, she is constantly researching stretch, and injury preventative, exercises that could ensure a practitioner's long and jumping life. She is also a Viking plotting how to love the world one song at a time, and sometimes wears a hat.

Blake Saiyan's picture
Ben 'Blake' Davies

Blake has been involved in the UK Parkour scene since it started way back in 2001 and is part of the group "The Saiyans" or "SaiyanClan" as its known on more formal occasions. He has been hiding in the metaphorical shadows of the scene in an almost ninja like fashion. He has on occasion been spotted lurking in the background of a few Parkour videos by avid "Blake conspiracy theorists" but there is no concrete evidence he actually exists.
It has been said that Blake now teaches Parkour in his local area of Edgware with the Saiyan Parkour Academy.
Blake often goes off on farcical rambles when talking about himself in the third-person but promises to try and keep more on-topic in his blog posts.

Chris has been training at parkour since 2007, and learned initially from youtube videos before moving to London in 2009 and starting to train with Parkour Generations. His sports background is in basketball and climbing, both of which he still does today. For Chris, parkour is about fun, challenge, getting stronger, and exploring the city (probably in that order). Chris is also a keen photographer and could not miss the opportunity to put a link to his stuff... here:

Blake is currently traveling around the world on a research fellowship awarded by the Watson Foundation (started by Thomas J. Watson, founder of IBM). When not eating large quantities of food he is investigating the current state of parkour within the global context, the effects of varying exterior influences (big companies, advertising, increased media attention...) on the sport, and the potential of parkour as an agent for positive social change.
