A new book on the philosophy, spirit and values of parkour/art du deplacement has just hit the shelves, authored by Canadian practitioner and author Vincent Thibault of ADD Quebec. 

The much anticipated and highly recommended book written by our very own Dr Julie Angel has finally hit the shelves and is ready to buy right now over at both Amazon and Createspace.

Renowned parkour photographer Andy 'Kiell' Day has just released a fantastic large book of images that resulted from a trip he took with team members Blane and Thomas to Italy in 2008.

Last year bestselling American author Jeff Abbott came to spend some time with us researching parkour for his latest thriller novel. That book, Adrenaline, is now out and has the main character utilising parkour throughout the story. All images in the book were provided by Parkour Generations and Andy 'Kiell' Day, so you can be sure it's quite an eye-catcher! The 123GO! series is carefully designed to intrigue and inspire reluctant readers aged 8-14, yet the simple texts and low word counts cater for a reading age of 6-7 years.

Recently released in the UK, and due for worldwide release early next month, The Handbook of Parkour and Freerunning is now available in every major bookshop chain in the country and is being met with great reviews. Going some way to correcting a lot of the misconceptions of the discipline it stands as a perfect supplement to your training and a comprehensive introduction to parkour for those who want to know more about it.

Last week Dan spent some time with American best-selling suspense novelist Jeff Abbott, who came over to London to research parkour for his new book. Jeff is keen to portray the discipline accurately and convincingly, including the history and concepts involved, as it will be a skill utilised by the protagonist of the story. Jeff's work is really very good and worth reading, and we are sure he will do the art justice in introducing parkour to his very successful line of novels.

The Parkour & Freerunning handbook, written by our very own Dan Edwardes, has been published and is on sale in the UK from today. It will be available worldwide in a few weeks but UK residents can get their hands on the highly anticipated book by visiting the Random House Publisher website HERE to purchase their very own copy.
