Sport Relief, a branch of huge fundrasier charity Comic Relief, is back with a vengeance this year - and Parkour Generations is happy to be once again supporting the event in an official capacity.

Sport Relief is back! And once again we are partnering with the charity in order to bring the power of the parkour community behind this very worthy cause.

Sport Relief brings the entire nation together to get active, raise cash and change lives. All the money raised is spent by Comic Relief to help change lives across the UK and in the world's poorest countries. 

A few weeks back some of our Performance Team worked with Yamakasi founder Seb Foucan on ITV's brand new charity fundraiser show, TEXT SANTA, creating a fun little piece to promote the highly worthwhile campaign. 

Last weekend saw the launch of ITV's new festive charity fundraiser show, Text Santa. PKGen lent a hand to the launch by providing our Performance Team for a high-profile shoot showcasing a 'new' kind of Santa who has an innovative manner of delivering his usual gift bonanza...

Last year, veteran of the UK scene and Parkour Generations Affiliate Coach Johnny 'Sticky' Budden completed an incredible challenge of running 1000 miles from the northern tip of Britain to Paris, in just a few weeks, in order to raise awareness and funds for motor neurone disease.

Next week a team of athletes from Parkour Generations will be working alongisde Sebastian Foucan on a major new charity initiative and entertainment event by ITV for Christmas, Text Santa, to raise awareness and money for those most vulnerable during the festive period.

This month on November 19th there will be a fund-raising open jam in aid of the Children in Need charity. 

The Jam will be held at the IMAX cinema just outside Waterloo Station in central London, starting at 10am and running for as long as people are willing to stay out. The aim is to raise awareness and collect donations for the great cause of Children in Need, so please come along, help out and support this worthwhile initiative. 

In 2009, in conjunction with environmental and political lobbyist organisation Sandbag, we organised the One Giant Leap campaign in order to promote awareness of the need to reduce carbon emissions ahead of the UN Copenhagen Summit of world leaders. The event was and remains to this day the world record for the largest single training day for parkour practitioners around the world, with over 125 cities participating in over 35 countries.

Sunday 20th March saw our impromptu Jam for Japan charity event go down in central London, at the IMAX training spot at Waterloo, and to great success. A whole load of the London practising community came along to help raise funds throughout the day, co-ordinated by Academy regular Kiko Ito, and it was great to see so many faces - old and new - getting involved for this very worthwhile cause.
