Next week a team of athletes from Parkour Generations will be working alongisde Sebastian Foucan on a major new charity initiative and entertainment event by ITV for Christmas, Text Santa, to raise awareness and money for those most vulnerable during the festive period.
We'd like to wish everyone in the global parkour community and beyond a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year - 2010 has been an incredible year for us and for the discipline worldwide, and 2011 already promises to be even better. May your training be bountiful and have a great festive season! We'll see everyone back in class on January 3rd ;)
Thursday 22nd December will officially be the last class of the year for 2010, returning back in 2011 with the Indoor Academy at Westminster Academy Sports Centre on Tuesday 4th January. We wish everyone a happy festive break and hope you all get some well earned rest from your training. Eat well, be merry and be prepared for an exciting 2011 in Parkour!
We would like to take this opportunity to say MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone from all of us here at PKGen - huge thanks to all the people who have made this past year what it was, in the UK, France and further afield, and to all the great people we met in the practising communities around the world. As is tradition at our London Academy, the last classes of the year - 21st and 22nd December - will be the famed 'Christmas Classes'... Which means all are encouraged to come wearing ridiculous festive fancy dress and train for the entire class in said get-up. The best-dressed guy and girl will win the coveted PKGen goody-bags, and be warned that the standards are always pretty darn high! So make an effort, win some prizes and see out the year in style...
The Christmas season is nearly upon us and the rabid shoppers have started to come out in full force. If you need some gift ideas, have a look in our online store for some great presents to give to any traceur or traceuse.

As is tradition, the last Monday Academy class of the year will be the Christmas Class Extravaganza... This year it falls on Monday December 22nd December, next week, and should be a great laugh as always. Prizes will be awarded to the best dressed guy and girl, with the only stipulation being that you MUST train in your costume for the entire class! We have had some corkers over the years, and our advice is only that you avoid dressing up as a Christmas present... made it very hard to vault for that one particular woman!
