Hidden Passages: Ashford Arts Festival Performance

Over the past few weeks we have bee training and choreographing a body of young traceurs in Ashford, Kent, for a public performance that will bring the streets of the city of Ashford to life as part of the Ashford Arts and Architecture Festival, entitled Hidden Passages. A number of art works will form the 2009 Festival on September 26th, and will be coupled with an outdoor performance that draws together local groups in celebrating Ashford's Hidden Passages and the town's unique make up.

Consisting of both indoors and outdoors training the girls are sure to be put through their paces, and we know it will be a thoroughly enjoyable experience for all. Hay Literature Festival Event

Monday next week we will be running workshops and a demonstration at the world-famous Hay Literature Festival in the UK, as part of the launch of our new Handbook of Parkour/Freerunning. Dan, Stephane, Chris, Johann and Blane will be at the event all day, filming some pieces with SKY TV as well as running the workshops and demos.

On Friday 27th June we are running workshops at Rotherfield Primary School and on Friday 4th July we are at Newington Green Primary as part of the Healthy Living Festivals, which aim to promote the many benefits of active and healthy lifestyles. Getting children involved in the discipline from a young age has proven to be extremely powerful in encouraging in them a positive and health-oriented mindset, and is something we are very much supportive of.
