Today we took part in an event run by Sportinspired called the 'Community Games'. The idea is simple: local schools compete against one another in a 'sports day' where they are encouraged to try new sports. As PK is non-competitive we had to be a little inventive, but it seemed that the kids enjoyed it (judging by the noise) and it was deemed a success by all involved. A couple of photos of the event showing our obstacle course are attached.

Mirror's Edge 2 To Be Announced..?

Walt Disney Studios has premiered the new trailer for producer Jerry Bruckheimer's parkour-influenced Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, opening in theatres on May 28. Directed by Mike Newell, the video game adaptation stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Ben Kingsley, Gemma Arterton, Alfred Molina and Toby Kebbell.

Prince of Persia: Parkour Coordinator

The upcoming blockbuster movie of the incredibly successful game, Prince Of Persia, which utilises parkour heavily in the action, will have a dedicated parkour coordinator in David Belle. Having worked on hit movies Banlieue 13 and Babylon AD, David is likely to create some amazing action sequences for a film which is already highly anticipated. We worked with Disney earlier in the year training one of the young stars of the movie, which is to be released in 2010. Great game too.

Mirror's Edge Workshop: Birmingham

Wednesday's Mirror's Edge Workshop in Glasgow went off with a bang, with a huge turnout from the Glasgow parkour community amongst the attending public. Everyone had a great time, and the energy throughout was incredible. Next stop Birmingham, this Saturday 22nd November - the workshop will run from 12pm-2.30pm at the Perry Beeches Sports and Fitness Centre, this time with Stephane, Thomas, Johann, Chris and James instructing. Come along and dive in!

Mirror's Edge Workshop: UPDATE

Today's first Mirror's Edge Workshop in Manchester went off very well, with everyone throwing themselves into the training with real energy and enthusiasm. Prince of Persia Promotion

Early November will see us filming a promotional piece for Disney as part of the lead up to the forthcoming and highly anticipated Prince Of Persia movie. The piece will also involve the stunt co-ordinator for the movie, and several international young TV presenters who will be put through their paces in an attempt to learn some of the parkour movements the hero of the game (and now the movie) performs with such ease. There is great enthusiasm for this movie within the community and if done well it should be incredible. More information on the promotional piece here as it comes.
