Last week Parkour Generations team member, James, was interviewed by reporter Marina Thomas from the Docklands newspaper during a parkour taster session to get to grips with the basics of the discipline. Its a great article and you can read Marina's piece on the Docklands website here.

The Guardian newspaper have just released an article on their website covering the details of the "One Giant Leap" Jam and campaign being held tomorrow. You can read the article by Adam Vaughan HERE. If you haven't heard yet, we are hosting a world-wide jam alongside sandbag.org.uk to raise awareness of climate change and the upcoming meetings being held in Copenhagen.

Yesterday the female members of the team and a few of the veteran female practitioners from the Academy spent the day shooting with The London Paper for a piece that will feature an article by Naomi Honey, a long-standing member of the London community. With the women's scene continuing to grow at speed this kind of coverage is long overdue and thoroughly deserved. Our Women's Classes are booked solid week in, week out, and we are very happy to see this vital part of the community thriving.

Today a reporter from the Australian Sydney Herald newspaper is coming into town to prepare a piece on parkour and the work we are doing. He'll be put through his paces by Blane at one of our regular training spots to give him a taste of the discipline, so we wish him the best of luck.. ;)

Last week Metro reporter Lisa Scott joined Parkour Generations for one of our outdoor classes at Vauxhall. This was in conjunction with the new book release by Dan (Parkour & Freerunning Handbook) and highlights both the handbook and her experiences that evening.

In the build-up to the imminent worldwide launch of our Handbook of Parkour, both newspaper and TV media groups are sending their journalists down to get a taste of real parkour training at our Outdoor Classes. Last week The Metro came along and we shot a piece for Sky TV, and this week reporters from The Times will be trying their hand.

Recently the Guardian newspaper sent one of their reporters, John Ashdown, to come and experience one of our Indoor Academy classes at Moberley Sports Center. The famous Hay Literature Festival organised by The Guardian newspaper have invited Parkour Generations down to the event to run some masterclasses for anyone wishing to jump in and get involved. The team will be there from the 25th May to celebrate the forthcoming new Parkour Handbook being released June 4th Worldwide.
