The new Free D training facilities, designed in conjunction with our partners - UK-based company ESP Ltd - and endorsed by both afPE and Parkour UK, have now been installed in 4 schools in northern England. The official launch took place at St. Leonard’s Primary School in Padiham which is a current case study for the Trust Schools Strategy. It was an outstanding success with support from Burnley Football players Clarke Carlisle and Chris Eagles who were there to back the concept.

As of March 10th we will begin running weekly sessions for Woolwich Polytechnic College in greenwich, London. The school is a successful, heavily over-subscribed, boys’ comprehensive situated in a modern building on a green field site and we will be there every Wednesday afternoon from 3.05-5.05pm running a parkour class.

Another Epping Borough school also began regular weekly classes in parkour with us today, Roding Valley High School in Essex. We will be there every Monday afternoon from 3.00-4.30pm. For more information on our work in schools, please click here.

Today we begin running regular weekly sessions for Davenant Foundation School in Epping. This is one of three Epping Borough schools that have recently joined our hugely successful Parkour for Schools Programme that is now in its fifth year.

This week we will also be beginning regular classes for Pimlico Academy School, in South-West London, as the new year continues to see parkour being brought into more and more educational establishments. With the timely launch of the ADAPT Instructor Qualifications this week at the first Level 1 assistant coaching course, we are glad to know that more and more practitioners are stepping up to take on the growing demand for high quality parkour instruction...

As of this week we are starting regular weekly classes for three schools in the Epping Borough of East London. The schools join our hugely successful Parkour for Schools Programme, and we look forward to bringing the benefits of good parkour training to the young people in the borough. As part of a wider development within the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, we will be starting regular classes at the Cambridge School in Hammersmith. The classes will be held on Friday afternoons, commencing this Friday January 15th. There are also plans to add a Youth Service class for children from the local area to be affixed back-to-back with the school class.

Archibishop Tenison School in Oval, south London, has just joined our Parkour for Schools Programme and we will be starting a regular parkour class there on Tuesdays between 3.30-5.00pm from the 19th January onwards. The school has an infectious enthusiasm for trying new things and a great student body, so we are looking forward to getting these sessions going next week. Tomorrow Forrest and Andy will be at St Leonard's School in Padiham where they will be delivering training for a new parkour facility that has been installed for the school and community use. Sky TV will be there covering the day, which will be the first of many.

The latest issue of the extreme sports mag Spiked Magazine contains a 6-page spread on the work of Parkour Generations, featuring interviews with Thomas and Alli and some cracking good shots. Well worth picking up a copy from the website or in a good retailer now ;)
