We're very excited to say that we are currently providing parkour training and choreography for the renowned Shakespeare's Globe Theatre's production of The Tempest, due to begin its run at the theatre in April. Senior Coach Blane has been at rehearsals introducing the lead actor to parkour movements and training concepts, and the whole production promises to be pretty darn special.

Secret Cinema's latest project ended last week and we had and an amazing experience providing Parkour action for the show's two month sold-out run. Secret Cinema encourages its audience members to get involved in the experience by becoming part of the show. They are kept guessing which film they will be seeing at the end of the experience but become part of the movie as they are immersed in the recreated set and interact with the films main protaganists.

Our Developing Athletes put on a good show at the Young Vic Theatre, displaying their skills on a balcony stage overlooking the London streets. Sprinklings of rain didn't put anyone off, and the free-form show went very smoothly. Well done to Daniel, Matt, Aaron, Kyle, Alex, Laurie and Adham and to Yao for co-ordinating. Expect to see more from these young guys in the near future...

On Thursday October 14th we will be performing on and in London's Young Vic Theatre for it's Forever Young gala evening to celebrate 40 years of the theatre's life. The Young Vic Theatre, set near Waterloo in central London, has begun to be recognised as the major theatre in this country in which young directors can develop and practise their art. We are excited to be collaborating with them on the gala project, which will see our team displaying parkour on the rooftops as well as inside the building.

Parkour theatrics

Parkour Coaching embark upon an innovative project this weekend with the exciting and creative dance theatre company Kompany Malakhi. Over the coming months we will be teaching parkour to dancers auditioning for roles in Malakhi's forthcoming 2008 live performance tour, and helping Malakhi to integrate parkour movements into several key scenes of its latest stage show.
