London 20122007
London 2012’s ambition is to create a Games for everyone, where everyone is invited to take part, join in and enjoy the most exciting event in the world.
London 2012 will create the most accessible and participative Games. It will touch people as it has never done before, stimulating people to do more and to try new things and reassess what we are all capable of.
London 2012 has sport at its heart and London at the centre, but it is more than London and more than sport. It is a Games for London, the UK and the rest of the world, for sport and culture, for volunteers and business.
Olympics Roadshow Parkour Workshops : 2007-07-00
Friday 6th July will see us running more workshops at the second of the 250-or-so 2012 Roadshow event days planned in the build-up to the Olympics, following the success of the Greenwich Sportathon event. This one will be held in Hyde Park from 4-9pm, and is again open to all-comers.
Visiting 27 stops over a ten-week tour, the Roadshow will visit all of the nations and regions of Britain in a specially branded London 2012 double-decker bus. The theme of this year's Roadshow is 'Join In', aiming to encourage everyone - particularly young people - to be inspired by sport with a long-term aim of increasing their participation in the run up to 2012, creating a lasting legacy for the UK. Parkour Coaching has been invited to participate in as many as possible of the Roadshow Sportathons, and we aim to do just that.
