Parkour in the Parks... : 2008-02-26
The Royal Parks Foundation, the charity for the eight Royal Parks, is launching a new half marathon on 12 October 2008, starting and ending in Hyde Park. This month the Parkour Generations team will be providing the action for the promotional material leading up to the October event, centred around a photo-shoot and a 90-second video edit showcasing parkour being used in a unique manner on certain iconic London landmarks... Half Marathon Half Way There...
The promotional work we are doing for London's Royal Parks Half Marathon charity event later this year is now halfway complete, with Tracey and Forrest completing the video shoot yesterday and the photoshoot to come this Sunday. Shot mostly in and around Hyde Park, the video should be out very soon and promises to be an energetic, light piece with the focus on fun as much as on the parkour. It will be posted on the site when finished, so keep checking in...
Royal Parkour Generations...
Yesterday's Royal Parks Half Marathon event was a great success, with 30,000 people attending and over 12,000 actually running the half-marathon for charity. A ten-strong team from Parkour Generations was present the whole day running workshops for the public and being showcased on the big screen, and we were blessed with incredible weather for the entire duration. Many thanks to everyone who came down to jump in and to the City of Westminster and Cory Leboeuf for providing all the equipment. Same time next year..!
