The first Philippine national parkour gathering is to take place 4 days from now on 28 and 29 April at Enclave, located in Parkmall, 6000 Ouano Ave, Mandaue City with a 9:00 AM start.
Hosted by PK Sugbo and PKGen Affiliate Coach John Conway the event's goal is to promote health and fitness through parkour, improving the practitioners' physical capabilities.
The new release of the next model of a shoe that has become fairly popular among parkour practitioners, the Nike Free Run. They come in 3 variations; 3.0, 4.0 and 5.0, where the latest have the strongest padding and support. Though the name might be confusing, the shoe was not designed with freerunning in mind, but rather to promote barefoot running. However, the flexibility and lightness of the shoe has made it a fairly common sight on the feet of practitioners around the world.
We were contacted by Parkour Ways in Indiana, USA to help spread the message that local Traceur Joseph Genova was making a trip down to Guatemala to assist those in need. The trip is entirely self-funded and it is for this reason that Joseph is reaching out to the Parkour community for help. Any donations, however small, will be gratefully received and used to purchase supplies for the schools and children of La Labor, Guatemala.
As previously reported, Parkour Indonesia recently held their Girls Day Out jam in rainy Bandung with our very own Annty Marais as guest coach. A video edit of the day has now been released and it looks like it was a lot of fun! To watch the video, click on the link below.
