New Youth Academy Class!

As well as our burgeoning Youth Academy class on Friday nights we have now begun a new Youth class at the Queen Mother Sports Centre near Victoria station. The new class runs on Thursdays between 4:30pm and 6:30pm and is free to Westminster residents or £5 to non-residents. More details can be found in our classes section along with a downloadable consent form which is needed prior to participation.

After a successful run at the UK's biggest photography festival, our very own photographer and team-member Andy 'Kiell' Day's exhibition on Parkour photography has now moved to 'The Public' gallery in West Bromwich. His extraordinary photos can be viewed for free from now until the 20th May, so if you are nearby go check them out while you have the chance.

Secret Cinema's latest project ended last week and we had and an amazing experience providing Parkour action for the show's two month sold-out run. Secret Cinema encourages its audience members to get involved in the experience by becoming part of the show. They are kept guessing which film they will be seeing at the end of the experience but become part of the movie as they are immersed in the recreated set and interact with the films main protaganists.

Since the start of this year, and as a follow-on to the raft of physiological and biomechanical studies we did with Roehampton University in 2010/11, we have been engaged in a new study with Birmingham University who are using parkour to try to understand the mechanics of how large primates, such as orang-utans, actually move through the canopy of a rainforest.
