The Blue Drop Awards is an independent, community-nominated, community-voted event created in 2012 that aims to publicly recognize the excellent individuals, companies and projects that have pushed the limits and maximized the capabilities of Drupal, the open source content management system.
The month of May will see our Thursday night Discovery class relocating to Old Street in East London. There's plenty to explore over there so come ready to try new things in new places!
Team member Fizz Hood has just cropped up again online in a new video, this time a music video for a cover of 'Anarchy in the UK' by Old Fashioned Daisy. Featuring Fizz as a new cat on the block, it's certainly a... unique video, but as always Fizz impresses with her skills and it's quite a catchy tune to boot. Today saw us working closely with Sport England's Sportivate programme and NGB Parkour UK, running workshops and shooting some action footage at the superb LEAP parkour park in London.
As some of you may have guessed, it is time for our monthly 'Off the Wall' jam this Sunday (28th). There will be a slight change this month though as it will start at 1:30pm (after the weekend wakeup class if you need a proper warm up...).
This week's video is a compilation of movement from the Liquid Trace guys based out of Berlin. It shows some sick stuff not just from Berlin itself, but also Amsterdam and Barcelona. The roll on the rail at 2:36 freaked us out. Nice one guys!
Part 2 of the Parkour Life series of videos, created by Julie Angel in conversation with PKG Senior Coach Blane, hit the internet earlier this weekend on the Flow network. Titled 'Parkour and Longevity', it features Blane talking more about his training approach and philosophies, and is another essential watch for any traceur.
A quick update - this week's Women's Class has moved location from it's previous listing for this week, and will now be held at Kilburn Park on Thursday. All other details remain the same, so meet at the tube station as normal for a 7pm start!
