World's First: Parkour Achieves British Standard

A huge step will be taken for parkour on the 28th of this month when the official British Standard (BS10075:2013) recognising standards for parkour /freerunning facilities and equipment will be published.
British Standards are produced by BSI, the organisation that creates official standards across hundreds of industries both inside and outside the UK, including the instantly recognisable Kite Mark. It was the world's first national standards body and operates globally to help ensure working and training environments and procedures are safe, effective and up to scratch across the board.
Partnered with the world's only bespoke parkour facilities manufacturer, Freemove, all of our designs and installations comply to this new British Standard.
Parkour UK has led the steering committee at BSI to create the parkour standard, working hard for several years to make it happen. This is a monumental achievement and brings a whole new level of recognition to the discipline within the UK and, accordingly, the world. Parkour UK has been instrumental in making this happen, and particularly its CEO Eugene Minogue who has put enormous time and effort into leading the charge. We'd like to send a huge congratulations and thanks to Parkour UK..! Further evidence that the governance and maintenance of the discipline in the UK is in the right hands.
